I had the privilege of completing a bachelor in Hotel & International Tourism, at Bond University on the Gold Coast. The environment was inclusive, and Bond encouraged the representation of Pacific Islanders. I studied further in sustainability, with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. After the devastation from the 2019 Australian Black Summer Bushfires, I was given the opportunity to help Binna Burra Lodge on it’s journey to be certified in climate action, through Eco-Tourism Australia. The accreditation experience incorporated all the values, I believed in.
